How to Search in the Google Sheets iOS/Android AppĪlthough the mobile/tablet Sheets app doesn’t offer as many options as the desktop Google Sheets app, it still has all the basic functions. Checking the box next to “ Also search within formulas” will include formulas into the search. The “ Search using regular expressions” option will search for cells matching a particular pattern. Checking the box next to “ Match entire cell contents” will search for cells that are exact matches. In the “ Find and Replace” menu, you can select “ Match case” to make the search case sensitive. There are some additional options that are available only on the desktop versions of Google Sheets. Select “ Replace all” to replace all instances of the selected word at one time. By clicking “ Replace”, each instance of the word or phrase that you’ve found will be replaced with your new selected word or phrase, one by one.
